CAT 5 : This type of cable increases the winding density, coated with a high-quality insulating material, the cable has a maximum frequency bandwidth of 100MHz, a maximum transmission rate of 100Mbps, used for voice transmission and data transmission with a maximum transmission rate of 100Mbps.
Mainly used in 100base-t and 1000base-t networks, the maximum length of network segment is 100 mbit/s. Use the RJ connector. This is the most commonly used Ethernet cable. In twisted-pair cable, different wire pairs have different length of twist.
Generally, four pairs of twisted twisted-pair cables are twisted counterclockwise if the length is within 38.1mm, and the length of one pair is within 12.7mm.
CAT5e : Cat 5e has low attenuation, less crosstalk, higher ratio of attenuation to crosstalk (ACR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), smaller delay error, and greatly improved performance. Super Class 5 cable is mainly used for gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps).
